Favvy
ファビー
PWAs ask for a laundry list of icons. Favvy bundles them in seconds. Design one master icon, fire up the plugin, and export maskable icons, square icons, splash screens, and the manifest that ties them all together.
Maskable support included
Chrome and Android expect maskable icons so the OS can clip them gracefully. Favvy exports those variants automatically and flags them appropriately in the manifest.
Coordinate with engineering
Each package includes a summary of sizes plus implementation instructions, so the handoff to engineering is painless. If the product team changes the app name or theme color, update those fields in Favvy and re-export.
Generator checklist
- Keep your icon file big (1024×1024+) for best results.
- Configure the manifest settings (short name, theme color, start URL) in Favvy.
- Download the output and drop it straight into your PWA repo.
It’s the generator I rely on for every PWA launch.
Testing made easy
After exporting, use Favvy’s preview sheet to confirm how icons look on various devices. Share the sheet with QA so they can validate that the right assets shipped without hunting through directories.
Version control
Commit the manifest and icons with meaningful commit messages (“refresh icon August 2023”). When stakeholders ask when the last update happened, you have an authoritative answer.
