Convertify
コンバート
Every so often, a collaborator still needs an Adobe XD file. Instead of redrawing everything, I use Convertify to export our Figma work into a tidy .xd document. The plugin respects pages, artboards, text styles, and components, so the XD file feels like it was built there to begin with.
Keep design systems intact
Convertify maps Figma components, colors, and typography to XD equivalents during the export. Symbols stay linked, text remains editable, and vectors keep their fidelity. That means the receiving team can continue iterating in XD without hacks.
One-click conversion
Select the frames or pages, open Convertify, and choose the Adobe XD option. The plugin bundles the assets, converts them, and downloads the .xd file for you. No cloud rendering, no waiting hours for an email link.
A few tips
- Clean up layer names before exporting so the XD file feels well organized.
- Include shared components on a separate page—Convertify will transfer them all at once.
- Share the exported file alongside usage notes so the XD team knows how everything was structured in Figma.
It’s the fastest way I’ve found to bridge the gap between the two tools when collaboration depends on it.
Keep revisions painless
When the Figma file evolves, rerun Convertify on the updated frames. Because the plugin remembers your previous selections, producing a refreshed XD package is trivial. Send the new export with a changelog so partners can diff versions without guessing what changed.
Use cases beyond handoff
- Agencies collaborating with in-house teams locked into XD
- Vendors producing training materials that rely on Adobe workflows
- QA teams validating behaviors inside the Adobe ecosystem
Convertify makes “convert Figma to XD” feel like a normal part of the process instead of a dreaded chore.
