A recruitment campaign can go stale before its media budget is spent. A role closes, the location policy changes, a salary range is corrected, or an approved employer-brand claim gets shortened differently across six banner sizes. Creative production must move quickly without advertising the wrong job.
Bannerify lets teams animate banners in Figma, generate variants from spreadsheet data, and export HTML5, GIF, MP4, and other production formats. The reliable workflow connects each creative variant to an approved requisition and gives talent, brand, legal, accessibility, and media teams clear review points.
Define the campaign unit
Decide whether the campaign promotes one role, a role family, a location, an event, or the employer brand. Do not combine these casually. A banner promising a specific opening needs different expiration and destination rules from an evergreen culture campaign.
For every variant, record:
- requisition or campaign ID;
- approved public title;
- location and remote or hybrid status;
- salary disclosure where required;
- audience and market;
- claim or proof point;
- destination URL;
- application deadline or review date;
- creative owner and status.
Use the recruiting system or another agreed source as the authority for role facts. A design spreadsheet should not quietly become the only record of whether a job is open.
Build a message that survives small formats
Prioritize one useful promise and one action. Small banners cannot explain the company, team, benefits, role, location, and culture at once. A sequence might introduce the opportunity, add one credible reason to care, then resolve to the role and call to action.
Keep the public role title recognizable. Internal level codes and recruiting shorthand rarely help candidates. Avoid unsupported superlatives or culture claims that cannot be demonstrated. If salary, location, or eligibility information must appear, include it in the planned hierarchy rather than shrinking it into an unreadable disclaimer.
Create size families based on composition, not blind resizing. Wide, square, and tall units may need different line breaks, crop focal points, and animation pacing while preserving the same approved meaning.
Use representative and inclusive creative
Review people imagery for consent, licensing, accuracy, and the message created by cropping. A diverse source photograph can become exclusionary if every small placement crops to the same person. Avoid implying that stock models are employees when that distinction matters.
Check contrast, text size, flashing, motion intensity, and the final static frame. The core role and action should remain understandable if animation does not play. Respect the destination platform’s current policies and provide reduced-motion or static alternatives where the placement requires them.
Generate variants from controlled data
Prepare a CSV or XLSX row for each approved combination and use Bannerify’s spreadsheet-driven workflow to swap copy, images, styles, or visibility during export. Keep columns explicit: do not pack title, city, and requisition into one field if they need separate validation.
Add checks for missing values, duplicate IDs, unexpectedly long titles, retired locations, malformed URLs, and expired deadlines before export. Use a fallback only when it is semantically safe. Replacing a missing city with “Remote” is not safe unless the role is actually remote.
The spreadsheet-driven banner variant workflow explains the production mechanics more broadly. Recruitment adds fast-changing inventory and claims that can materially affect a candidate’s decision.
Animate with a readability budget
Plan the timeline around comprehension. Give the role title and action enough dwell time, avoid moving several text blocks at once, and keep the loop from resetting before a reader can finish. Review at normal playback speed, not only while scrubbing slowly in Figma.
Use Bannerify to preview the animation across sizes. Check entrances, exits, clipping, easing, and the loop boundary. If the network limits total duration or loop count, design within that rule from the beginning. The banner animation timing guidelines provide a more detailed timing framework.
Validate the destination and handoff
Every click should land on the exact open role or clearly relevant campaign page. Test query parameters, redirects, consent behavior, mobile layout, accessibility, and what happens when the requisition closes. Decide whether closed-role traffic receives a relevant alternatives page or a clear closed message.
Export the format required by the media plan, then test the actual package. For HTML5, check click behavior, file size, asset loading, console errors, fallback artwork, and the ad platform’s validator. For GIF or video, inspect color, frame timing, legibility, and final-frame behavior.
Handoff should include the source row, creative ID, size, format, market, requisition, destination, start and stop dates, approval status, and replacement rule. Media teams should never have to infer which of two nearly identical ZIP files is current.
Monitor job truth, not just ad performance
Set a recurring reconciliation between live ads and open requisitions. Pause or replace variants when roles close or material facts change. Track rejected creatives and candidate complaints as quality signals alongside clicks and applications.
Before launch, sample every size family and all high-risk variants, verify roles and URLs against the system of record, and confirm stop dates with recruiting operations. Bannerify removes repetitive animation and export work. Talent and media teams still own honest job information, inclusive representation, current destinations, and timely campaign shutdown.
