Playwright alternative. Review the page against the design before accepting a baseline.

When should I choose Pixelay instead of Playwright screenshots?

Designers and developers agreeing on visual acceptance before a screenshot becomes a maintained test baseline.

When is Playwright screenshots a better fit?

Engineering teams requiring programmable browser tests, assertions and repeatable screenshot checks.

What should I check before switching?

Pixelay does not replace Playwright browser automation. Automated screenshots need stable environments and maintained baselines; manual Figma review needs matching design state, fonts and viewport dimensions.

When should I use Pixelay instead of a screenshot assertion?

Use Pixelay when deciding whether the implementation matches the approved design. Use Playwright when you need repeatable automated assertions, interactions and regression checks after that visual acceptance.

Can I try Pixelay before upgrading?
